Highway 100: Lilac Way… built as a 'recreational highway' in the 1930's, Hwy 100 was one of the first beltways in the country… Golden Valley Garden Club planted lilacs along the way and the highway even closed for occasional parades in the early years when lilacs were in bloom… fascinating story with historic photos…
