Minnesota State Fair

Fairentry

It’s hard to explain the allure of the Minnesota State Fair, but with more than 1.5 million visitors each year it’s one of the largest in the country. It’s an amazing blend of people and smells, food, exhibits, crowds, performers, animals, food, local media, politics, parades, commerce, food, rides, creative and fine arts, marketplace, sun, rain…it’s all this and more…it’s also the official farewell to summer.

Fairsweepstakes_6I have to brag a bit about a couple of knitters I know who earned ribbons at the fair this year. A client won not only multiple ribbons but was also a sweepstakes winner with her incredible ‘Blankie’ to the left…and our daughter-in-law created the delightful blue sweater in the center of the photo below. Congratulations to both!!

Anyone who lives in Minnesota knows how changeable the weather can be, fair or no fair. It was cloudy when we arrived, not sure if we were going to get wet or not. We left under a beautiful, clear blue sky and decided to take the Skyglider for one last overhead look as we said goodbye for another year.

Fairride

A client recently told me that summer is officially over for him when he says goodbye to the State Fair atop the ferris wheel under the night sky. I wonder if he’ll be there tonight…

  1. If you’re in not good state and have no cash to move out from that, you will need to receive the credit loans. Because it would aid you unquestionably. I take consolidation loans every year and feel OK because of that.
