Nothing says spring to me more than bright green asparagus spears, and they were standing tall at Bob’s Produce Ranch yesterday when I stopped to get a dose of spring. I don’t live near Bob’s, but I was showing a property near there yesterday and as I was wondering if winter would ever end I remembered our son talking about the fabulous peaches he got there last summer. I hadn’t been there for years and since I couldn’t stop at a farmer’s market or roadside stand for a fix of fresh produce I decided to stop at Bob’s. The asparagus alone was enough to make me think spring!
Bob’s Produce Ranch actually started as a roadside market selling locally grown fruits and vegetables in 1959.
