Partial Staging

I've worked with a few Clients lately that have asked about "partial" staging.  Of course, I like to stage an entire home for the best feel and quickest sale, but some people would rather stage on a smaller scale…..and that's okay.  Sometimes, the house just needs to be decluttered and new accessories added…which really is a partial stage.

Other times, the house is empty and the Owner doesn't want to invest as much in the preparation of the home.  With an empty house, I always stage the main living area, including the kitchen.  When someone walks in, that first impression is critical.  A potential Buyer should say "Wow".  Then, I stage the Master Bedroom.  Other bedrooms can be left empty…..not optimal, but okay.  If there is a family room, it's important to stage that, since it's typically the area where you "live".

If there's a finished lower level, I can sometimes skip that area too.  It really depends on the layout of the house.  Again, it's the first impression that counts.

We just did this house.  As you can see, we did the main living area:

But, we left the basement alone:

All in all, it turned out well, this is a quality home and I'm sure it will sell with or without a full staging!
