Pictures Are Important

I gave a "Downsizing and How to Sell Your Home" seminar to a group of Seniors in Duluth last week.  Great people who had a lot of questions.  They are all people who have bought units in a Senior Cooperative there and are trying to sell their homes.

Several of them contacted me afterward.  They wanted my opinion about why their homes weren't selling.  Many of them looked like this:

Duluth1

My comments were that there was way too much furniture in the room.  There shouldn't be any "collections" on the walls.  And the furniture blocks the room.  The rooms look cluttered and dated.

But when I saw the rest of the pictures of this particular house, I also saw this:Duluth-2
This home is right on Lake Superior, but it looks dismal and dreary!

And the home is in competition with another one right down the road for the same price:Duluth3
With all the homes for sale, if you're searching the internet to see which one you should take the time to look at, which one would you be more interested in?

Pictures are the first impression a Buyer may have of your home, so make sure they give the very best and brightest views!
