I was just reading about someone who couldn't sell their house, so they resorted to some "rituals" that they were told might work. I've heard of a couple of these before, so I thought I'd pass them along.
The number one idea I hear is to bury a statue of St. Joseph for a quick sell. St. Joseph is the patron Saint of homes and thousands of people each year use this method to help sell their home.
Here's how it works: You bury a statue of St. Joseph in your front yard (if you live in a condo or don't have a yard, use a flowerpot. Bury St. Joseph upside down and facing away from your house or front door. Dig as deep as you feel you need to. The legend says you need to say a prayer next and ask for help to bring the right buyer to your home.
An important part of this ritual is to dig up St. Joseph after your home has sold and the sale is complete. It's believed that good luck will come to you and your new home if you take the statue with you and place it in a position of honor in your new home. There are websites out there that just sell these statues!!
Not sure if this works, but the person I read about hadn't sold their home and gave this a try. Of course, I should tell you that they apparently buried the statue incorrectly and the house hadn't sold yet….and then they forgot where they buried it. But, maybe it'll work for someone else!
The next idea I heard was to set a few coins under the front outside mat of the house. In Feng Shui that brings wealth to the Owner, but in this case, after placing the coins outside the front door, the house did sell very quickly.
And finally, there is a Feng Shui ritual that is supposed to help sell the home fast.
Inside a red packet, place:
1. A small piece of wood from the kitchen of the house for sale
2.A small piece of metal from the kitchen of the house for sale
3.Some earth from the garden of the house for sale.
Then, find a fast-moving stream/river, and throw the red packet into the fast moving water. Visualize a quick sale of the house while throwing this into the water.
And one last method I've heard of:
Hang a photo of the house for sale, and stick a "SOLD" sticker on it.
Put it somewhere you can see everyday until it sells.
I can't promise that any of these work, and I think a talented Realtor is your best bet, but can it hurt??
Last minute showings do happen. In fact, many motivated buyers will add your home to their list that day right at the last minute. It can sometimes be an inconvenience and it’s easy to decline and ask them to reschedule. The problem with this is they may very likely find a home on that list that day or evening to write an offer on. You definitely want yours to be in the mix.
I will suggest this to my cousin because she told me that she want a house in your place.
