Surprised by Spring in Bloomington

It seems like every year I watch the slow arrival of spring…then suddenly one day I am surprised…it's truly here! When I did my walkability post yesterday with photos of my walk with our grandson I was amazed at how leaf-less the trees were…only a couple of weeks ago!

Then last evening I was showing a home in Bloomington and was suddenly surprised by a crab tree beginning its flowering glory…the first one I saw this year. My first thought was, isn't it too early for flowering crabs? I guess not…it's a sure sign spring is here…and it was a delightful surprise!

My client really liked the clump birch, which was also starting to green…it was a beauty. Not many trees left to bud…the annual spring transformation never ceases to amaze me!
