I am meeting with a seller this morning to make decisions about flooring, painting and staging before her house hits the market. She has already had one potential buyer take a look who made a low-ball offer because of the work involved in updating it. That didn’t sound good to her, so… on to PLAN STAGE!

You can certainly sell your home without staging or making preparations… it happens all the time. But when you do that you most often trade the convenience of simply walking away for getting a good price. Sometimes that is exactly what sellers want… but investing in a few updates and staging it usually pays off.

Most buyers have a hard time seeing beyond what is in front of them. That is why the biggest impact of staging is helping potential buyers fall in love with the home. In fact, 77% of Buyer’s Agents said staging makes it easier for buyers to visualize the home as their own. That often results in quicker sales for better prices.
