Afraid to sell your home in winter?

When the smiling couple above contacted me in December and said they wanted to get their condo on the market ASAP because they were moving to their daughter’s family in Texas we got busy right away. It was already in great shape… just needed a few tweaks to be ready for photos and listing in the MLS.

We didn’t even do ‘Coming Soon’… just listed it as Active on December 17, hardly the ideal list date! We talked about how they weren’t likely to have much activity over Christmas, but guess what… it pended with a strong offer in only 3 days!

Don’t be afraid to list your home for sale in the winter… there may be fewer buyers looking at that time, but there are also fewer homes for sale. That means less competition, good for both buyers and sellers.

What is good for winter sellers is the buyers that are looking in the winter are usually serious and ready to buy!
