Weekly real estate update 3/4/22… housing supply and demand

YTD Market Stats-2022-3-04

We are starting to come out of a rocky couple weeks of stats… a snow storm and a switch to a new MLS platform both caused a disruption in the normal rolling out of new listings. New listings popped up over pending sales this week, likely due to the drop in new inventory for buyers to purchase.

Showings have been bobbing up and down, now pretty much on track with last year at this time.

The bobbing showing records likely are at least partly due to the bobbing in the supply of new listings… a good indication of just how quickly buyers respond to new listings in this high demand market. The National Association of Realtors pulled  together information showing buyer and seller activity by state… in the infographic below from our blog at Keeping Current Matters.
