In my last blog post I showed Sherwin Williams 2022 Color of the Year. Not let’s take a look at the 2022 Color of the Year by Behr.
Breezeway MQ3-21
The name brings me back to mid-century homes where breezeways were added to connect the garage to the house. They were no more than a hallway and the name always intrigued me.
Behr describes it as:
“A relaxed and uplifting sea glass green expressing peace and tranquility for forward movement.”
I would be careful that this color doesn’t turn too minty on you, but in a limited capacity and paired with whites, creams and grays I think it could be stunning.
I see this as a wonderful color for a beach side retreat, lake side cottage or a bungalow style home. It has cool undertones so that is why I think it would be wonderful in a hot climate or those lake homes where you escape the heat of the summer months.
A front door may be the perfect spot to add this light breezy color.
