Made Me Smile

made me smile

I see so many interesting things when I am out looking at homes, I have long wished I had an easy way to share them. I figure it’s never too late, hence this “Made Me Smile” post… the first of more to come on occasion.

Mid-century-modern is all the rage right now, and this aqua oven and cooktop complete with its Use and Care book from 1959 made all of us smile. It reminded me of the kitchen of my best friend growing up, and my buyers thought it was pretty cool. This one still actually works, and is in the kitchen of the home they are buying! Even the countertop is the original.

Did you ever wish you had an extra half bath but didn’t have the space for it? That didn’t stop these homeowners… the ingenuity of this half bath in the space of a closet almost made me laugh out loud!

How to convert a chain link fence into a privacy fence? Just put a ‘picket’ fence on one side of the metal fence and attach a cross beam on the other side of the chain link fence… you don’t even need posts!

This last one for today is perhaps my favorite. I love the vibrant blue and yellow that joyfully speaks of the Swedish heritage of its creator and homeowner… and of finding your heart in your home. This one can almost make one forget it is winter!

All for today… more to come on occasion. Send me pictures of things you think I should share!
