It’s Art Attack next weekend, November 1-3, 2019. Yes, you should go… get a head start on your holiday shopping, or treat yourself to unique, wonderful, local art of all kinds! We decided to stop yesterday so we could tell you about it BEFORE the big event!
There will be 350 artists participating in the Northrup King Building… with open studios, great music and food. The photos above and below are examples of just a few of the studios that will be open… we were so happy to find them open yesterday as well!
GOLDENFLOW STUDIOS – Studio 157
hand blown glass studio, don’t miss their hand blown snowdome ceiling light in the entry to the building… stop by for a glassblowing demonstration and pick up an ornament for your holiday tree!
MBMB – Studio #246
great pickup items to make you smile that all start with her fanciful original drawings… I picked up a pair of her new desktop calendars so I can look at two months at a time!
MARY MEUWISSEN & BETH DORSEY – Studio 226
abstract oils by Mary, layered monoprints by Beth… we already own one of Mary’s paintings (see her with John in the top photo)… it’s tempting to add one of Beth’s monoprints, love the depth… small world, learned she was at the Grand Marais Art Colony this summer with another artist friend of ours!
