If you haven’t been to the MN State Fair , otherwise known as The Great MN Get Together, put it on your bucket list. 
If you have been there but it’s been awhile you should go check out the changes and new additions. I went to the fair last year after sitting it out for 2-3 years and I couldn’t believe how much had been added!
For starters the North End was new to me and it’s even bigger this year. This neighborhood has specialty merchants, restaurants, craft beer and a music venue.
There are over 300 brews and beverages at the fair with 53 New Beverages for 2019. I checked out the lineup for the Grandstand and there are some great acts with Hootie & The Blowfish being on the top of my list!
And of course we go there for the food. Every year we wait to hear what the New Fair Food will be and for 2019 I may try the Mini Donut Latte. May be a great way to start the morning at the fair! 
I personally go to the MN State Fair to see all the animals. I wander through the horse barn, the cute pig barn and of course The Miracle of Birth Center. I have been lucky enough to catch actual births of calves and colts and at the very least you will see animals only days or hours old. Just the best!!
The MN State Fair runs August 22-Sept 2 (Labor Day) in 2019. Plan a date and see you at the fair!
