The Minneapolis area has one of the best Chocolate Factories in the country and some people don't even know about it. If you haven't visited Abdallah Chocolates you just need to go. With a brand new location in Apple Valley it is even bigger!
Now in it's fourth generation of family ownership, it started in 1909 at the corner of Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis.
They have quite the story of success, to bankruptcy during the depression years , and back to success which you can read in full on their website. A great American story!
The good news is they have a new fabulous store front, the bad news it is 2 blocks from my warehouse! YIKES!!
My favorite item they carry is the Sea Salt Alligators. Highly addictive. But their many flavors of creams and their well know Grizzly's aren't too far behind.
You can order ONLINE but if you live in the area I would definitely stop in for a visit. Oh…..the chocolates, the smell.
