Tomorrow is “Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day”… here are the rules

When a cousin who lives in Rochester, NY posted that this Saturday is "Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day" I couldn't resist. It was supposedly started by a mother in Rochester, NY in the 1960s. Her kids were stir crazy and tired of the cold and snow so she came up with the idea to combat the winter blahs… they obviously didn't have Winter Carnival!Ice cream2

After about a foot of snow falling this week it seems fitting that we follow the rules, which are simple:

  1. Eat ice cream.
  2. For breakfast.
  3. The first Saturday in February.

As one of the best places in the US for homemade ice cream, it shouldn't be too hard to comply here in Minneapolis-St. Paul. Enjoy.

Then get out and enjoy the snow!!
