With this being snowstorm week, it isn't so hard to believe that the #1 reason Americans consider moving is to seek better weather or climate… followed by better job opportunities and to be closer to family.
The biggest reason people move in retirement, however, isn't weather. People who live in Minnesota know how wonderful our weather is in the summer… why we have so many 'Snowbirds' who spend time in warmer climates in the winter and enjoy Minnesota the rest of the year. It comes as no surprise to me that the biggest reason people move in retirement is wanting to be closer to family!
I work with people moving in and out of the metro for this reason all the time… let me know how I can help you!
