Minneapolis is known for bicycles and coffee… get them both at Angry Catfish Bicycle Shop + Coffee Bar!

We’ve talked about A Baker’s Wife at the corner of S 42 St and S 28th Ave before and it continues to be unique and very busy pastry shop. But, just down S 28th Ave from there is a very unique shop called Angry Catfish Bicycle Shop + Coffee Bar. With no apparent connection to its name, this is a bike shop, with a coffee shop (or a coffee shop, with a bike shop). Seems pretty unusual, right! And it is! Though quirky, this is a serious endeavour with very high standards for both their bike repairs and their coffees.

As you walk into the establishment you see everything… the coffee shop tables, the bike repair tools and bike paraphernalia all in view. Angry Catfish patrons seem quite comfortable having their coffee tables near bicycles being serviced and bike chains being oiled. So many resources are available as well… and the accessories are awesome.

In their own words these are their philosophies…

Bike Shop Philosophy: “We are a full service repair facility with state of the art tools and a professional, knowledgeable staff prepared to service any make of bicycle. We are proficient in disc brakes and wheel building as well as experienced with custom builds.”

Coffee Shop Philosophy: “We believe coffee is more than a commodity that should be consumed in large quantities without any thought as to how it was grown, how it arrived to their cup, and what is really supposed to be experienced through the taste of the beverage.”

Minneapolis has made it into the top 10 on multiple lists of America’s Best Coffee Cities… and is consistently ranked one of the Best Cycling Cities, not only in the US but also in the world. At Angry Catfish you get the best of both in one stop!

Let us know if you would like to live near here… we can help!
