Interested in living in a distinctive Mid-Century Modern masterpiece? There are currently two homes for sale built by Minnesota architect and Renaissance man John Polivka… a spectacular Edina mid-century modern, built in 1959… and a stunning Golden Valley mid century modern on Sweeney Lake, built in 1961.
John Polivka was not only an architect, he was also an industrial designer and technical illustrator. His family remembers him as the one who designed the first street sweeper and the first cloverleaf highway ramps in Minnesota. Cloverleaf ramps are so common now, it is hard to believe they originated in Minnesota… and that Highway 100 forged the way for urban beltways.
It isn't that often that two architecturally significant homes designed by the same architect are available for sale at the same time… you can check out both of them and choose your favorite!
