Calhoun Village shopping center is nestled in an incredible location within a few blocks of three of the famous Chain of Lakes in Minneapolis and in the heart of fabulous walking and biking trails.
Located at the convergance of Minnetonka and Excelsior Boulevards just before they combine to become Lake Street on the way to the heart of Uptown, it is not surprising that this area is dotted with condos, stretching upward to capture views of the lakes.
Calhoun Village was built on the site of a former lumber yard and as the area around it blossomed the newer Whole Foods complex with another array of shops on the other side of Lake Street was added, making this a food mecca.
Locals know this and love this area. You can stop at Calhoun Village for Punch Pizza, then pick up some luscious bread or pastries at Cafe Rustica next door or a Subway sandwich and a book at Barnes & Noble to read as you lounge under a tree by one of the lakes. You can even stop at Walgreens for some sunscreen, then come back for a burger at Burger Jones when you are done!
If this sounds like a place you would like to live, you are not alone. This is a very popular neighborhood in the Calhoun/Isles area of Minneapolis, bordering St. Louis Park and Southwest Minneapolis.
