On KARE11 News…

Kare11 I got a message Tuesday night from the seller of one of my listings that a KARE11 TV news and camera team were filming in front of their house at 2874 Western Avenue in Roseville. The team told them to watch the 10:00 news because their house would likely be on the air… and it was!

It turns out some footage was used as background for a story on Wednesday night as well. Unfortunately, it was for gloomy stories about the big drop in real estate sales… which have been lagging way behind last year.

This really shouldn't come as a surprise since we had unusually high sales last year and the first part of this year because of the homebuyer tax credit… we had lots of smart buyers taking advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and shifting the time they bought to fit those parameters. As a result, many buyers who would have been buying this summer already bought earlier.

If you weren't ready to buy then but you are now you are in luck, it's still a great time to be buying… interest rates are rock-bottom, prices are still good and the inventory of homes available for sale is growing again so you have more choices.

It is a buyer's market out there!! I predict we will look back on this time as a golden age for buyers… and of course, if you are selling with the intent of also buying again this also includes you!
