French Park… the playground at French Park on Plymouth's Medicine Lake has been a favorite family site for years…it includes creative play areas for all ages, swimming, trails…
Minnesota Zoo… it's easy to think of the zoo as just a place to see animals but the Minnesota Zoo also has some fabulous play areas… explore hollow trees, climb on suspension bridges, nets, tunnels, slides… climb and slide around in grain bins in the grain elevator… uncover skeletons in the sand…
Edinborough Park… a year-round playground, Edina's Edinborough Park is a completely enclosed, one-acre park with a bubbling brook and more than 6,000 plants, trees and flowers… one of the larges indoor play structures in the country, a huge indoor playground with an inflatable air bounce… plus a junior-Olympic size swimming pool, running track, fitness area… and a 250-seat amphitheatre…
Como Town… the St. Paul Como Park Zoo is a playground wonderland… a family amusement park with more than 18 rides & attractions for kids ages 2-12, including all-time favorites and some not available anywhere else in the upper Midwest… super jungle gym playground and splash zone water sprays in Hodge Podge Park …
Lake Minnetonka Regional Park… summer in Minnesota means time at the beach, and Lake Minnetonka Regional Park offers one of the best kid-friendly beaches around… a sandy bottom swimming pond that is filtered, chlorinated and surrounded by a huge, sandy beach… they also have a big playground, picnic grounds, fishing pier, boat… launch, biking/hiking trails… it's a great family destination…
Hyland Lake Park Reserve… Bloomington's Hyland Park is known in 'kid' circles as 'Chutes & Ladders'… one of the best playgrounds in the metro… great for ages up to about 12, kids can spend hours climbing, hanging and sliding down chutes up to 50 feet long and running through the water sprayers… it also includes a section for children under 5 or with disabilities…
