Did you know there are millions of dollars available for down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers through government funded programs? The problem is often finding the right programs to match with buyers and properties.
Enter DPR… a new service now being offered through our regional MLS system to help match properties and buyers with potential down payment assistance programs. This tool is available for Realtors only right now, but is scheduled to be available for everyone searching online listings within the month.
The DPR symbol will be displayed next to properties which may be eligible for down payment assistance. Clicking on the symbol will display programs for which you could be potentially eligible if you were to purchase that home.
To find out if you qualify for the assistance programs, here is some of the information required…
- Property location
- Foreclosure?
- Sales price
- Household size
- Annual gross household income
- Buyer ownership history
- Incentives for occupations: educator, protector, fireman, healthcare worker, veteran
- Disability?
- Army or Air National Guard?
- Surviving military spouse?
- Energy efficient or handicap visitable home?
This tool isn't an application or approval for any programs, but it can help by letting you know of down payment assistance programs, and those for which you may qualify based on the information you provide about yourself.
Look for the DPR symbol to appear in both your searches with online search engines and in search results sent by your Realtor from Northstar MLS Matrix in the coming weeks.
