Minneapolis-St. Paul Median Sale Price and Percent Foreclosures by MLS Area 2007-2009

Median sale price in the Minneapolis-St. Paul 13-county metropolitan area dropped an average of 15.7% in 2009… but real estate is always local and there can be big differences from community to community.

Prices are also greatly affected by the percentage of foreclosure properties, which commanded 43.0% of all closed sales in the Twin Cities in 2009. The percentage of foreclosures by area ranged from a low of 10.7% in St. Paul's Mac/Groveland/River Road area to a high of 67.0% in Northern Chisago County.
