Staging a Small Space – Part 2

We finished staging the house we were working on last week.  It's been on the market for a couple of months and the Realtor called us in.   The house was empty and as everyone knows, empty houses are difficult to sell.  Buyers can't imagine themselves living there.

Last week I mentioned that the attic of this home is very small….at its highest point it's probably 6 feet.  So how do you make a space like that seem useful?

I staged it like a children's play area.  It really could be fun for kids of any age to utilize this space.

Up-double

We had fun staging this house, making it a home where people could see some potential.

The living/dining area looks so much more inviting than when it was empty. Our other challenge was some of the wall colors.  The master bedroom is painted purple.  So I used navy blue to difuse the color.

So some houses do have challenges, but most of them can be overcome with staging.
