NOLO’s Kitchen & Bar has been in the North Loop since 2017, when they transformed the former Gardner Hardware store in the historic building built for Maytag about 100 years earlier, in 1916. They feature modern American comfort food in a neighborhood atmosphere.
When I met a colleague there for lunch last week it wasn’t crowded, service was fast and friendly, and food was yummy. I often ask for server advice on what to order, and he recommended their crispy chicken sandwich, saying it was very popular. I understand why… it was delicious!
