CCM Line of Duty Death Benefit

House Basket Of Money

The Line of Duty Death Benefit is an exclusive loan program for those serving as federal, state, county or municipal agency law enforcement officers. It provides a sense of security in a time of need for surviving family members. When a spouse/partner passes away, mortgage payments may be harder to make.

We support those who protect and serve. And to honor them for making this ultimate sacrifice, CCM agrees to cancel the combined balances of the borrower’s loan(s) up to $525,000. It’s our way of saying thank you! This is available to those serving as law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMT’s or paramedics including volunteers.

The Line of Duty Death Benefit covers any work-related activities involving external force and violence, as well as heart attack or stroke that may occur during training or any other stressful event. The benefit is for all first responders, whether you are a borrower or co-borrower. The officer must be 70 years of age or younger at the time of loan inception. This is not an insurance policy, but rather a debt protection program.

There is no cost to the borrower for this benefit and you do not need any health exam to qualify. This is for first lien mortgages serviced by CrossCountry Mortgage. The eligible mortgages are conventional (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) and government loans (VA, FHA and USDA).

Knowing many first responders, this is a program I hope they never need to use, but I’m glad it’s there for those that do need it.
