Weekly real estate market update 3/1/24… new listings are climbing

New listings continue to climb, on track with typical seasonal trends… ahead of last year, this week’s new listings are almost identical to what they were in 2022.

This year’s showings are right on track with previous years, tangled in the web of showing stats… except for last year’s dip due to the second-largest February snowstorm on record, dropping 13.4 inches of snow at the MSP airport. This year we have had record high temperatures, with 60 degrees the last Monday in February!

New listings are the highest since last October… good news giving buyers more options.

If you are seriously thinking about buying, your first step is getting pre-approved for a mortgage. You can’t make an offer to buy a home without it in our market.
