It’s summer art festival season… and where there are festival tents, food trucks are never far behind! The photo above was HomeTown Creamery ice cream truck at the art festival at St. Kate’s July 9, 2022. With over 100 juried artists, it was a high quality show… a forerunner of the art festivals yet to come at Minnehaha Falls July 15-17, Loring Park July 30, Powderhorn Park August 6, and the granddaddy of them all, the Uptown Art Fair August 5-7, 2022.

Food trucks have become so popular that they now also have their own festivals, music included. We stopped by the North Loop Food Truck Fair on July 10.

In spite of passing rain showers, it was busy both at the trucks and listening to the music hanging out in the pocket park.

There are more food truck festivals to come… including Hopkins July 23, St. Paul August 6, and Anoka August 20th. And of course food trucks will also be at upcoming art festivals!
