It’s the first day of 2022 and what better time to look ahead to the projected colors that will take this year by storm. Will they be accurate? Who knows…..I have seen colors come and go and some are embraced and some are a flash that last a few weeks.
But lets take a look at Sherwin William’s 2022 color of the year. Evergreen Fog (SW 9130), a versatile and calming hue of green-meets-gray, with just a bit of blue.
This gray-green hue is “a sophisticated wash of color for spaces that crave a subtle yet stunning statement shade,” said Sue Wadden, the director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, in a statement. “Evergreen Fog inspires us to begin again and is a great choice for modern interiors and exteriors.
This shade really can go anywhere. Out of all the ‘Color’s of the Year’ the last few years, most that I did not care for, I like this one. I wouldn’t paint my whole house this color but it would be pretty as an exterior color or in an office. It would pair nicely with the warm neutral Accessible Beige and/or Shoji White. I am a huge fan of the their 2021 Color of the Year, Urbane Bronze (still going strong I will add), and this pairing would bring a very luxurious feel.
Evergreen Fog is part of the Method palette in the Sherwin-Williams 2022 Colormix® Forecast.
Give me your thoughts. Thumbs up or down?
