Wednesdays Unplugged – Crock Pot Country Style Pork Ribs

“Be curious, not judgmental.” Ted Lasso

NOTE: I spend my Wednesdays Unplugged from appointments. It’s my day to stay home, enjoy cooking and welcome our kids and grandkids for dinner in the evening. We end our meal with quotes from the Norwegian ‘Quote Cup’ passed on to me from my grandmother. I share a quote and a recipe here each week, along with an update and photos of what has been going on in our lives. I love trying new recipes…and love getting recipes you would like to share!

We watched our grandson play his last high school football game this past week. His team didn’t have a good season but he was a lead receiver and made some awesome catches!

RECIPE OF THE WEEK

Our oven is failing so I used the crock pot this week. It was very saucy but tasty.

CROCK POT COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS

  • 5 pounds country style pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounce can of COKE soda
  • 19 ounce jar BBQ sauce (I used Rib Rack)

Place ribs in large crock pot, add dry ingredients and stir to coat, then add BBQ sauce and Coke. Stir to coat.

Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 6-7 hours.
