Wet Paint… where I found my new fountain pen

It was my birthday last week and John told me my present was to be selecting a new pen! That set us off on an adventure to find said pen. We eventually wound up at Wet Paint… an awesome store near Macalaster College in St. Paul that is an artist’s utopia.

Once we found the ‘pen rack’ it didn’t take me long to find the one I wanted. I hadn’t thought about a fountain pen until I saw it, but once I did there was no turning back. It made me think of a favorite pen I had in elementary school… pink and black… which I filled with peacock colored ink!

I expect this ‘Venus’ fountain pen to become my new favorite… and it won’t get lost because it is so distinctive!

This store on Grand Avenue is in the Macalaster-Groveland neighborhood, one of St. Paul’s most coveted neighborhoods. Let us know if this walkable neighborhood looks like somewhere you would like to live… we can help!
