Showings continue to drift downward, expect the combination of rain, state fair and Labor Day to cause another drop as we head into the last days of summer and back-to-school.

New and coming soon listings continue to be ahead of last year while pending listings hang below last year as they have for the last three months following the spring boom.

If you’re trying to decide whether or not to sell your house, Fannie Mae’s recent Home Purchase Sentiment Index (HPSI) reveals that the majority of consumers, 75 percent, say now is a good time to sell a house. Why? Because it is still a strong seller’s market… meaning we still don’t have enough homes for sale to meet buyer demand.
