Docomomo MCM Tour Day 2020 Goes Virtual… October 11, 1 to 4

Docomomo tour 2020

The theme for Docomomo Tour Day 2020 is The 1970s Turn 50 Across Minnesota… and it is going virtual.

What going virtual means is we are not limited to the Twin Cities as we usually are… so we will be visiting locations across the state of Minnesota, exploring the impact of late modernism in Minnesota… and it is FREE!

Here is what you need to know…

1) This year’s Tour Day is FREE via Facebook Live
2) Suggested donation for non-member households is $10
3) Let us know you will be watching and asking questions – Register via eventbrite
4) Livestream instructions sent after registration (Facebook account not required).

tour day 2020-1The first stop will be the last home built in University Grove in 1972, by  Tom Van Housen. My clients closed on it the end of last year and have been spending the year rehabbing it. The tour showing it off starts at 1:00.

tour day 2020-2Next stop is an earth home in Chanhassen. That tour starts at 2:00.

tour day 2020-3The last tour begins at 2:50 in New Ulm and includes both master planning and the city library.
