Many towns and communities have canceled fireworks this year due to Covid-19 however some towns and communities have decided to proceed while stressing social distancing. Some towns have closed roads or changed venue sites to assist with social distancing guidelines. Â
Here are just a few:
Chanhassen’s fireworks display is still a go at 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at Lake Ann Park. However, Lake Ann Park, Greenwood Shores Park and the trail between the two will be closed this year so spectators will have to find a different place to watch the show.
Chaska: Starting at dusk on July 4 at McKnight Park over Lake Jonathan.
Lakeville: At 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, fireworks will be launched at King Park. The display will be able to be seen throughout the city to allow for proper social distancing.
If you are ‘Up North’, fireworks will be shot off over Gull Lake in Nisswa, courtesy of Cragun’s Resort and Madden’s Resort at 10:00 pm on July 4th. In Park Rapids at dusk on Saturday, July 4, fireworks will be shot from Heartland Park; and in Walker fireworks will be shot off at dusk from the park area for the Fireworks on the Bay in Walker event.
