I had passed by the small sign to Kordiak Park on Highway 65 many times before I learned about the lovely Innsbruck community that surrounds the park, partly in Columbia Heights where the itself park is located, partly in Fridley and partly in New Brighton. Learning that an area north of the park is located in Fridley came as a real surprise! This little pocket doesn’t feel like it should be part of Fridley, much less Anoka County. Kordiak is a lovely park which was Anoka County’s first county park… in lovely Innsbruck, a unique community of custom built mid century homes on winding streets shaded by majestic oak trees. This little pocket is home to a few striking mid-century modern homes… and is also not far from beautiful Silverwood Regional Park. I recently listed a home in this neighborhood which accepted an offer the second day on the market!
