Kindee Thai Restaurant – in the Middle of the Theater & Museum District

A few weeks ago we met some friends at the Kindee Thai Restaurant to grab a bite before a showing of Frankenstein: Playing with Fire at the Guthrie Theater . The food was great! The wait staff was wonderful.

We enjoyed five appetizers, plenty of food for the four of us. We had the Fresh Spring Rolls, Fried Spring Rolls, Fried Calamari, Pork Spare Ribs and Cranberry Cream Cheese Wontons. The modern looking restaurant is across the street from the Guthrie and Mill City Museum.

Kindee offers traditional Thai cuisine with a design, modern flair. Their menu offers a large variety of unique appetizers, delicious entrées, hot soups and crisp salads. Whatever your preference, you will find something that will satisfy your appetite.

Located in the heart of the Mill District, Kindee has proven to be a mainstay of the diverse culinary culture of downtown Minneapolis. Whether you are in Minneapolis on business, for a show at the Guthrie, or are just looking for a great Thai meal with friends or family, Kindee is a great place for Thai cooking.

As a volunteer concierge at the Guthrie I see and feel a vitality of people coming to this area, whether they come in or walking by. It’s fun to see the people! Some in a business like fashion, some just enjoying the day. The Guthrie is a wonderful tourist site as well!

There is a huge number of new Rental and Condo buildings in this area!  So, don’t only go for the Kindee or the Guthrie, but plan to walk along 2nd Street and see the blossoming east end of Minneapolis! Spending time in this area you will see vitality all over! Running paths, hiking, Stone Arch Bridge, dog walking, biking, history surround you everywhere.

Kindee is located at 719 South 2nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401. (612) 465-8303
