Ginger Hop Restaurant… where East meets NE

Sharlene and I were looking for a parking spot to eat at a restaurant on Main Street in Minneapolis, but found nothing. It was about 6 o’clock on a Friday evening so we felt comfortable that we were ahead of the Friday night rush, but parking was really tight. So, we went into NE about a block and we found parking and a (new to us) great restaurant. It’s called  Ginger Hop, Where East Meets NE. Great food and we beat the Friday rush by 30 minutes.

The feel of the place was eclectic from the outside into the interior dining rooms. Outside it’s a grand old brick facade with gas lanterns on the wall. But, with contemporary signs. Continuing on into the interior are great warm wooden paneling on the walls, but the menus and food are fusion contemporary. It’s a great eclectic experience.

We had General Tsing’s Chicken and Penang Curry with Pork, both were delicious! We’d go back in a heart-beat! The wait staff were courteous and helpful.

There’s parking behind the restaurant, so no worries about that. Come ready to eat and enjoy.
