Houses are just tired sometimes and need some new life. That was the case at this property in New Hope, MN.
Most of the changes were very light cosmetic things. Paint, flooring and new lighting. The kitchen and bathrooms did however get a full makeover bringing them into the current decade.
Take a look!
First impressions are key and this is the room you see right inside the front door. Yes the room was painted but the key to this room was exposing the original hardwood floors under the carpet. Having them refinished added extra glam and shine.
Paint and light fixtures are huge when updating a house. What I want to point out here too is the lack of carpet in the Dining Room. Carpet in a dining area is a dated look and no one wants carpet under a dining room table anymore. Worth changing if you can.
The kitchen is THE most important room in the house and will make or break any sale. Having an updated kitchen is so important and the Return on Investment is high. Always bring in a professional though so you make the right choices for your investment.
Amazing what paint can do!
Even if a bath is small it can be functional and feel luxurious!
This full bath got a new vanity and the dated wall tiles were removed. Paint and a new light of course!
My favorite part of the update was the fireplace. I mean really….look at those beautiful beams around it as well as on the ceiling. They were lost in the dark brick and paneling before but now they are showcased.
All houses need new hope once is awhile. What in your house may need a little sprucing up?
