A Tiny 1897 Farmhouse gets a Face Lift

This tiny…and let me reiterate tiny, 119 year old farmhouse now located in the middle of a metropolitan area needed some love. I won't even mention how narrow and steep the staircase was, I should have taken a picture of those!

I love that these century old homes are being saved rather than being torn down. The best part of this renovation was that a newspaper from 1898 was found inside the wall!

But the house turned out super cute for a starter home, young professional, couple or small family. Sorry….it already sold.

A little drab….

A wonderful office now!

The ceiling needed a little attention.

And becomes a stunning Living Room.

The Dining Room wasn't real appetizing but it is now!

The Master Bedroom needed some pizzazz.

The open air concept is not such a great idea in a bedroom…..

But becomes an adorable kids room!

Caught in the act of demo day on this not so attractive bathroom.

Who wouldn't want this bathroom now!

The kitchen was a blast from the past. Look at that wallpaper. The new kitchen needs no words.

I am so thrilled these century old homes are being saved! They are a part of our history plus have so much character.
