Habitat transforms the lives of the ‘invisible homeless’

The message below I recently received from Lan Freitag of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity reminded me of why we are proud to be Habitat supporters.

Habitat logoI want to thank you for your INCREDIBLE support since 2001 and wanted to share a thank you note that we received from a recent Habitat homebuyer to our family services department.  I remember attending the families’ home dedication.  The mother talked about how they were part of the “invisible homeless” couch hopping at friends and families.  She got emotional talking about how much their lives will change with their Habitat home.  She made me cry like a baby!  This note makes my heart so full to hear how proud, happy, and appreciative they are to be Habitat homeowners.

Habitat familyDear Habitat for Humanity:

Thank you all again for providing us with a beautiful and safe house that we can now call HOME!  We are so proud of our house, and we love it very much! With the support of all of you, we finally are able to begin our journey of life on a good and strong note.  We’re all super excited about this new endeavor and are extremely thankful to Habitat!  We will always remember everyone that was involved in our journey, and we’re so glad that Habitat chose us for this home.

With TONS of THANKS! – The Xiong Family

Lives such as those in this family are routinely transformed through strength, stability and self-reliance when they become Habitat homeowners. Thanks to them and Habitat for generously allowing us to share their experience… and thanks to you for working with us for your real estate needs and allowing us to continue to support this important work.
