New Year. New Face?

It's time for a fresh start right? How about a new face on those kitchen cabinets? No plastic surgery needed!

I always get asked if it is a good idea to Re-Face cabinets and of course the answer is "it depends'"

If you are selling your home soon than "No." Painting them may be your best option. If you have a high end home than yes you may need to Re-Face.

If you are not selling your home within the next couple years then you probably do want to Re-Face your cabinets if they are outdated. When you go to sell your home your kitchen may very well make or break any sale.

Let me tell you a true story…..because it is mine!

I have hated my kitchen cabinets and I finally did something about it. I was always so busy working on other people's homes and never had any time for my own but I took the time a few months ago.

Facts:

1) I am not selling anytime soon.

2) I may be selling in 3-7 years and know anything I do to my kitchen I will get back upon sale. Plus I get to enjoy it for a few years!

3) The inside of my cabinets are white and in perfect shape. (Thus, totally new cabinets are not needed).

So let me stop typing and just show you the difference. Here are my before and after photos:
