NOTE: I spend my Wednesdays Unplugged from appointments. It's my day to stay home, enjoy cooking and welcome our kids and grandkids for dinner in the evening. We end our meal with quotes from the Norwegian 'Quote Cup' passed on to me from my grandmother. I share a quote and a recipe here each week, and sometimes some photos of family fun. I love trying new recipes…and love getting recipes you would like to share!
We celebrated Mother's Day a couple weeks late over the holiday weekend because of my fall. Even though I had to stay put, that didn't stop the grandkids from running around and having fun!
RECIPE OF THE WEEK
When I saw our daughter-in-law mix, cook and serve these individual cakes in a matter of minutes… and saw the grandkids gobble them up… I knew I had to share this simple kid pleaser recipe that can quickly and easily cure anyone's snack attack. They ate them plain, but you can let your imagination run wild with topping possibilities.
3-2-1 CAKE
- 1 box angel food cake
mix - 1 box any flavor regular cake mix
Mix two cake mixes together and store in ziplock bag or airtight container.
For a quick treat, mix together in a small, single serving size microwaveable bowl…
- 3 tablespoons cake mix
- 2 tablespoons water
- Microwave for 1 minute on high
- ENJOY!
