Seafood Palace on Eat Street in Minneapolis is the place I head when my taste buds scream for Chinese seafood. They were doing just that on Friday and our companions for the evening were kind enough to indulge.
Featuring authentic Cantonese cooking and one of the most creative menus around, Seafood Palace stands out as one of the most consistently delicious restaurants on Minneapolis's Eat Street… at 2523 Nicollet, just a few blocks south of downtown Minneapolis and very close to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
I was craving their amazing Honey Walnut Shrimp and my husband raves (with good reason) about the incredible sauce and delicate crispyness of their flavorful and tender Sweet & Spicy Baby Beef Short Ribs.
I read a review from someone who works on Eat Street who said this is where she brings people to eat when she wants to impress them… I understand why!
We learned they would be celebrating the Chinese New Year (which started on Thursday, February 3rd) the next evening… when the colorful dragon costume prominently displayed in the middle of the restaurant would come alive.
If you are looking for upscale elegance this isn't the place… but if you are looking for a great selection of delectable Chinese dishes at reasonable prices this is one of the best in the Twin Cities. As their name implies, they specialize in fresh seafood, but they also serve wonderful beef and other delicacies… including sweet, fresh oranges at the end of the meal.
