Both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reported that the percentage of deliquent mortgages they hold continues to fall, as it has almost every month this year. Fannie Mae has reported six straight months of decline and Freddie Mac reported four straight months of decline in 2010.
In the wake of so many predictions of a coming onslaught of foreclosures, this seems to be a hopeful sign that more mortgage holders are able to continue paying their loans and staying in their homes.
