White Bear Lake… charming historic destination with quaint shops and restaurants… NE surburb that started as a summer resort area in the late 1800's… annual Manitou Days festival for about the 2 weeks before July 4th…

Excelsior… in the opposite corner of the metro from White Bear Lake, another historic resort destination begun in the late 1800's… stroll the streets, visit the shops, dine at sidewalk cafes, admire the lake…

St. Anthony Park… charming St. Paul community at the Minneapolis border… small but distinctive shopping area with one of the last independent booksellers, wine shop, original Bibelot gift shop… pace feels slower here…

Grand Avenue… St. Paul's historic Grand Avenue is a delight to locals and visitors alike… 2 1/2 miles of shops and restaurants, many in historic houses and buildings…

Linden Hills… located just a couple blocks from Lake Harriet, Linden Hills is one of the few urban communities that offer a full range of services with a small town atmosphere… gifts, hardware, books, groceries, restaurants, bakery, toys, homemade ice cream… it's worth a trip!

Shopping-50th france 2 50th & France… the corner of 50th & France in Edina at the border of Southwest Minneapolis has long been a destination… not only does it feature an array of charming shops, boutiques and services, it also has wonderful restaurants, one of the best homemade ice cream shops in the metro, a movie theater featuring independent and foreign films, and an upscale grocery store…
