It’s Wednesday, that means I’m unplugged and enjoying my day cooking. It’s supposed to be a nice day…maybe I’ll also take a nice, long walk!

RECIPE OF THE WEEK
I first tasted this week’s recipe when I was in college. One of my apartment-mates made them, and I was hooked…thank you, Carolyn!
BROWNIES
BARS
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 – 16 ounce can chocolate syrup
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup nuts (optional)
- pinch salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs ONE AT A TIME, beating after each. Add flour, syrup and nuts if desired. Bake in 13 x 9 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
FROSTING
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Let boil 1 1/2 minutes. Take off stove, add chocolate chips and beat until smooth. Frosting will harden ON cake.
