There are many reasons why I do what I do, being a Home Stager. I do it for all the usual reasons.
I love being creative, I can see a room and have a pretty good idea how the furniture should be arranged almost immediately, I enjoy working with color and keeping up on all the latest home trends.
There is a larger reason and one that you may have guessed as well….I like working with people.
I enjoy assisting people in getting the most money what for many is there largest asset. 
Many of the people I assist in Staging their home really need to sell there home. They may be in a time crunch as they are taking a job in another city, it may be they are moving up to a larger home due to a growing family. But more times than not it is for downsizing.
For some reason I happen to work with many people that are are moving into retirement homes, assisted living facilities or even nursing homes. I also tend to work with the children of the homeowner who has recently been placed in a nursing home or passed away. It is a hard time for all involved.
One of my latest Vacant Home Stagings is a prime example of why I do what I do. A few weeks ago I was contacted by a woman who had lost both her Mom and Dad within a week of each other. Two months had since gone by since their death and the children were trying to sell the house and agreed staging would help jazz up plain blank rooms.
I staged the home with furniture and accessories and as I left I said a prayer for the family as they continued to grieve; that the healing process would begin. I was driving the truck back to the warehouse when I answered my phone and it was the daughter. She had just gotten to the home and she was crying. Oh oh….
"Shar, I am walking through the house and I am sobbing. It is beautiful. I can't believe how you made it look. I know Mom and Dad are looking down and smiling. "
BINGO….now that's why I do what I do. Moving and selling a house are stressful in the best of times. Throw in a financial setback, illness or death and it is even worse. I am blessed that I can assist in the process.
