When we visit a new restaurant I often ask the server what not to miss on the menu, so it was only natural to ask my buyers what to order at The Loop West End since he is the head chef. It was his wife who answered immediately with… "the salmon rice bowl, it's amazing." She went on to say that everything on the menu is good, but she doesn't get to taste it much because she loves the salmon rice bowl so much. It turns out it is her husband's creation and the mix of flavors truly is outstanding.
My husband is a burger man, and ordered the Fully Loaded Bleu Burger when we visited yesterday. He said it was one of the best burgers he has had in a long time… especially raved about the bun. Even the ceasar salad was an awesome surprise… it had baby gerkins in it, an ingenious way to get the salty crunch of anchovies without the fish.
This St. Louis Park West End site has had several restaurants and after unmemorable experiences before we forgot about this location. Not any more… I think the head chef was right when he said The Loop is there to stay!
