There is nothing quite like savoring Parisian pastries at a sidewalk cafe, but Patrick's Bakery & Cafe located inside Bachman's Garden Center on Lyndale comes close. Here you can feed body and soul, relaxing under ficus trees in a peaceful garden setting whether rain or snow may be falling. And instead of going to France for the pastries, award-winning French pastry chef Patrick Bernet comes to you, bringing a taste of France to Minnesota.

It is no surprise Patrick's has received so many awards and is on so many 'Best of…' lists. Everything looks so wonderful the hardest part is deciding what to try. The last time I was there I asked for help and got a great recommendation, a pastry I wouldn't have picked myself… a fruity cream cheese thingy that was fabulous, but I don't think I could have chosen anything was wasn't!

Now also offering full table service menus on Friday and Saturday nights in addition to daily cafe menus and Sunday brunch, a visit to Patrick's is like a visit to the culinary delights of France without leaving Minnesota!
